1. Idle hands. Idle, busy hands.

I think I’m going a little tiny bit crazy.

The cold winds of winter have swept in the usual low-key seasonal depression, causing me to notice things I’d rather ignore. The Wintec Wall, which I usually try to complain about several times a year, is still a grey, smug, semi-vertical slab. There’s still a poo smell on campus. Waikato Uni still has bugger-all security guards at night. The infinite crimewave in Hamilton East continues unabated. Our gallant Hamilholians still screech out of cars at whoever is brave enough to use their feet, or god forbid, a bike (and I feel like pointing out that I was in Wellington a couple of weekends ago, walked everywhere, and got yelled at only once.) Letter-writers continue to miss the point in epic fashion. Hamilton Taxis continues to employ utter bastards as drivers. Trolls continue to stalk internet forums. Hamilton girls still wear those dress things you can buy at Supre that make them look pregnant. Nexus contributors continue to hand things in late. Things change slowly in this town, when they change at all.

So rather than going on about it, I thought I’d turn to something I really enjoy doing: doodling.
I like drawing. I always have. Whenever I’m bored or frustrated I whip out a pencil or pen and start up on the nearest sheet of paper. It’s a prime way to rid yourself of frustrations and lose yourself in a moment of perfect zen. You’ve been in lectures. You’ve all done it. If, somehow, you haven’t, I recommend it.

So; am I going crazy? You decide! Here is a selection of some recent doodly efforts. Psychology students – go for your life.
